Dr. Masoud Aref Nazari, RCC Registered Clinical Counsellor

Dr. Masoud Nazari is an Iranian born philosopher, poet, professor, and psychology Ph.D.  He was a highly sought out resource in his home country prior to coming to North America where he trained in the San Francisco Bay Area.  He is a founder of Iran’s Transpersonal Psychological Center, as well as a founder and leader of his own holistic healing centre, the Nikaram Psychological Service Center.  Masoud has spent his life pursuing an understanding of the human condition and approaches to holistic wellness.  

His extensive training includes:

  • Intensive, Short-Term Psychotherapy (ISDP)
  • Gestalt Therapy
  • Reality Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Registered Clinical Counselling (RCC)
  • Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
  • Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) 
  • Schema Therapy

 

With Post Doctoral (PhD) certification in Clinical and Transpersonal Psychology, Masoud is somatically inclined and has trained in Existential Psychotherapy working with Irvin Yalom, and Radical Psychotherapy under Andrew Feldmar. In addition, Masoud studied Compassionate Inquiry with Gabor Mate, Hakomi with Georgia Marvin, and Psychedelic therapy with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS).
